In this series I photograph my clay sculptures- forested beings in their natural surroundings.
These tree people are made of clay because like as, their bodies are sustained from the goodness of the Earth and will return to dust once they pass.

Have you ever felt there was more to a tree? Researchers have found that trees plan for the future and even  have five senses. They can communicate and care for each other just like we do. Scientific work in Northern Itlay, near Turin, listens to this through electrodes connected to root and leaf – “The Music Of The Plants’. They found that babies could easily identify which trees were singing, and start, as babies do, to copy the noise. what’s more surprising is that the plant then starts to copy the baby!

A doctor of more than 20 years, I specialize in integrating different healing methods. In former ages, physicians recognized that true wholeness and healing could only be reached through embracing our own wholeness and knowledge of the innate interconnectedness of all things.

Thousands of years ago, indigenous societies worldwide recognized are in need connection to the Earth, Sun and forces of nature outside our control. They embraced this concept and respected their environment and the planet, fully realizing their dependence on it for sustenance and survival.

This is Peter, and his poem…
Peter goes about his daily business.
He knows the land, and through his roots…

Thinking, feeling as a tree,
He honours leaves, and thorns and shoots.

These are all the same to him, in oneness,
Green , yellow, brown, young and old,
He loves them all just as they are,
Honoring the strong, the weak, meek and bold.

Jolly and contented, he visits other trees,
To let them know they’re not alone:
Tree people all around, whose mates they’ll meet,
When the season’s right, through tree knowing.

What is really the difference between a tree and a mammal?
Scientists have recently discovered the trees have the same five senses as we do.

5 Senses -Trees are sensitive to light; taste by reacting to chemicals on their leaves; respond to touch; react to smell; and recently have been discovered to react and integrate with various sounds.

RAMTHA
The ancient guardian

We in modern society have somehow lost this connection and awareness that we are at one with nature. The sense of separateness is the cause of many problems we have today. The misperception that others are essentially different from our sales leads to abuses, cruelty, wars and genocide. Extending the same attitude to a planet and as for neglect and abuse of the Earth and all the ways we see happening today.

Before we able to heal the planet, we must heal ourselves, and change limited scope of perception, or misperceptions.

Like us, trees can move. They move, slowly, towards nutrients in the soil. They move away from harmful chemicals and toxins. They send messages to each other.
